Newborn Care Class

We entered the room about 15 minutes early for our newborn care class which was supposed to last from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Let's just say that we left the class at 10:00 (luckily we only live about four blocks away) muttering to ourselves how awful the class was with a lack of organization and curriculum, how can they possibly believe that the time for the class was suitable for women in their third trimesters after a long day of work (let's face it - we all go to bed by btw 8:00-10:00), and damned that woman's VOICE (even after departing I could hear her falsetto tone speaking in the teacher's 'Waaa wa waaa waaa'-esque way from Charlie Brown).

We were better off with a book, a DVD, and our trusty ole Sock Monkey (aka: mock-Olivia) to show us the ins + outs.
Oh well, you win some - you lose some.

I just can't believe that we opted to take these classes in Hoboken because they beat the price from those in NYC. I wonder if there would have been any difference in things we would have potentially learned.
I still can't believe half the people in there were excited about the steak dinner they would receive (besides the discount from the already considerably cheap classes) just for delivering there.

Hopefully their pediatricians are better than than the maternity classes...
