GAP CASTING CALL

SELL OUT!!!!
I know, I know - but hot damn our little girl is cute.
Besides, I swear that I will not allow my daughter to become a child celebrity; however, if she can get a nice $500.00 here and there just to have her picture taken - so be it. I will put it in her college account.
And...it's just a contest. It would be different if I were sending her to a third world country for boarding school (unbeknownst to us would actually be a sweat shop where she would be making Nike or shome sh*t)...

We entered her in the GAP Casting Call contest. We shall see...I mean, she's 5 months now...girl needs to start earning her keep and contributing to put food on the table.

Here's the shots we submitted (they will take about 72 hours for the photos to be published on the GAP site for the current contestants)...

Second day of school...

..another three hour transitional.
She was a little fussy this morning...if you can't tell from the picture.

Once we got to school Mom teared up and although Bee gave the lady her signature sad lippy she laid her shoulder down on her favourite caretaker there just in time for her first morning nap!

Yesterday I had time to get my bangs trimmed, a mani/pedi, and lunch with Jason. Today I had time to wash dishes, do some personal pampering, and relax...oh, and blog.

Only and hour left and I can hold my #1 gal again!

THURSDAY: the dreaded return
FRIDAY: work....TGIF!!! - Grandma comes in.
SATURDAY: apple picking!!!
SUNDAY: lunch + movie for Mom and Dad's anniversary...then rush home to our greatest accomplishment, BEE!!!

Her first day of school..

Just a three hour transitional from 1:00-4:00.

She is also eating solids - beginning with dinner. Organic rice cereal - DELISH!
This weekend I will look into making her organic baby food! Woooooo!

By the way, she did AMAZING. We both cried separately about 10-15 minutes. Afterward she ate 4 ounces, took a nap [on her back!!!], and ate another 4 ounces. When we walked in (sure that the other babies were lacking naps from her screaming and crying for three hours), she was sitting in a swing (which she never took to at home)...I walked up and said my signature 'Boogity' and she lit up!!!

Few more pictures...

A weekend in pictures

This past weekend Bee and Jason and I ventured to Brooklyn to visit the Kirbys. We also walked around our little city - drinking in the beauty and friendliness we have come to know so well during my maternity leave.

Hello, World!!

This is a picture from this past weekend (I think).
Not much going on this week. Just trying to enjoy my little girl as much as possible before my dreaded return to work next week.

A day at the mall...

Today was Bee's first day utilizing her big girl stroller exclusively in public. She took to it so well and what a treat for us....the steering on the Snap N Go SUUUUUCKS and the MacLaren has an attachable large pocket for all of her baby wares so no more bulky baby bag unless necessary! Oh, and the steering and ride...it's like a Mazda versus a Porsche! I think she likes it better because she can see EVERYTHING going on - she's a pretty chill, observant, people-watcher like me and Jason.

I purchased some work goodies from Steve n Barry's Sara Jessica Parker's line BITTEN, a winter hat for Bee from H+M, and her Christmas dress! Good times...

Tomorrow we are staying in for some cleaning and light reorganizing since it's supposed to be ugly out. If it's not too bad and we have cabin fever then we may take a stroll onto Washington Street for the semi-annual Hoboken Arts + Music Festival (unless it's cancelled due to inclement weather).

Also, the Princess has been wiggling out and waking up out of her Miracle Blanket/swaddle so this evening we are trying her in pajamas. They say that when a baby starts to wiggle out that they have outgrown the swaddle and are ready for sleeping without it....so far, so good [*knock on wood*]. More on this as it progresses.

Below is a picture of Daddy and Bee at the mall. CUUUUUUUUTE...and, DUDE, MY HUSBAND IS HOT, EH?!?!
