Cravings

Now into our 6.5 months of pregnancy I can honestly say that I haven't really had cravings as much as I have desired stuff. Nothing too unusual or so in demand that I foam at the mouth and turn into Mrs. Hyde.

Below is a survey of the top five things that I have particularly had a 'hankerin' for thus far....

1. STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKES (1st Trimester)
I have always enjoyed these since I was a little girl; however, during my first trimester it was all I could think about.

2. A VARIETY OF CEREALS (1st + 2nd Trimesters)
Fruit Loops, Strawberry Yogurt Cheerios, Golden Grahams, Strawberry Frosted Shredded Wheat.....those have been enjoyed so far for breakfast. Don't really dig the whole eggs and bacon, etc. for breakfast like I did prior to pregnancy.

3. TIE: PEANUT BUTTER + JELLY/SALADS (2nd Trimester)
Wheat toast, sugar-free raspberry or strawberry, creamy all natural peanut butter.
Salads - mostly oil + vinegar based, romaine, tomatoes, cottage cheese, salami, olives.

4. FRUITS (1st + 2nd Trimester)
ALL the time! Namely: strawberry, watermelon, mangoes, mandarins, clementines, grapefruits, peaches, cherries, pineapples.

5. CANDY (1st Trimester)

This is an odd one because I NEVER indulged in sweets until now. Even funnier is that what I crave are the same candies Jason enjoys so there's definitely a mix of blood cells or something going on there! Favourites include: milk chocolate, milk chocolate with caramel or peanut butter, sour candies (ie, Sour Patch Kids, Sour Straws, etc.).
