Today was our big 3D ultrasound of our little Olivia. Although I went in rather apprehensive about the creepiness of the whole thing - it really turned out alright. It confirmed what we had been hoping...that is, my nose, Jason's lips. Yes, we have ourselves a little mixed-version of Baby Shiloh. Or like Jason likes to call it - a goldmine...a GAP baby, the Welch's kid (I've always found those kids kinda spooky, though), etc.
(FYI: Anyone else thinking of doing this, do it at Week 32. This is when they are the most visible and cherub-like. They con you into going at Week 26 so you get suckered into oooohing and awwwwing and then they say...'You should come back [because that's when they look like the examples in the brochure]'.....Oh well, we're the guinea pigs for our friends - HA!)
Of course, all day Olivia was kicking and doing somersaults; however, the moment she realized Mom + Dad spent money to see her she went on a sleep kick. She did wave at us quite a bit and yawned A MILLION times. Her eyes were open here and there and she likes to play with her head (which we've known about since she took the shape of a baby - in every ultrasound!). Oh yes, and she has my hands...long fingers - y'know, for piano playing. LOL.
Anyway, here are a few shots of her. We will also be adding more to my Flickr site, you can view them here:
